SOLD Antique Set of 6 Oak Heavily Carved Dining Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful set of solid tiger sawn oak barley twist heavily carved dining room chairs dating from the 1890s. The set includes two armchairs and four side chairs, all in original condition from a local home.
Key Features:
Design: Pierce carved solid oak fretwork in the center with two running slats on both sides, barley twist posts with finial tops, multi-turn front and rear legs joined together with an H cross stretcher.
Condition: The upholstered seats need attention, with tacks that are loose and upholstery likely needing replacement. Minor chippage on four or five of the round bottom feet. One post has been damaged and repaired well.
Side Chair Dimensions: 18.5 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 46 inches high to the chair back, 18 inches high to the seat.
Armchair Dimensions: 22 inches wide, 19 inches wide between the arms, 20 inches deep, 46.5 inches high to the chair back, 28.5 inches high to the arms, 18.5 inches high to the seat.
