SOLD Antique Set of 6 Heavily Carved Oak Dining Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today a wonderful and hard to find now a days matching set of six barley twist solid quartered oak carved set of six matching chairs that date from 1910's. Take time to look at the pictures folks as they have everything going for them. This set has barley twist posts and this particular set even has barley twist stretchers unlike the chairs you see now a days with the simple wood. Around the newly reupholstered seat is a chip carved frame, the back of the chairs have maple leaves carved into the center of the solid oak, the top has pierce carving of solid oak maple leaves with turn finials on the end of the posts and even the center blocks are carved with a rosette! There is also a tombstone carving at the bottom of the post. The chairs are in original condition. They are fairly tight, but all chairs should be re-glued. There are no broken components that we see. They are a decent set of six chairs. The fabric appears to have been redone recently in a wine brocade style fabric. The dimensions o the chairs are 17.5 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 42 inches high to the top of the finial and 19.5 inches high to the set. You are getting all six for one money.
