We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful set of 6 original finish tiger sawn oak empire foot dining chairs dating from the 1910s in original wonderful condition. The only thing I can see wrong with the set is that there are two seats that are missing. It is a simple piece of black leather with brass tacks around it. The other seats all look good. The set consists of five side chairs and one master chair. They are larger than usual. The finish is a dark oak mellow finish. The empire curl foot is hard to find in an oak example in the antique world. One chair has two tiny moldings missing under the back splat, which we will detail out prior to shipping if you remind us at the time of the sale. The chairs have swooped design cutout back, better than average center splat, flared back leg, empire curl foot or jelly foot front leg and solid H cross stretcher constructed of oak. It is a great set of 6 oak dining chairs. The overall size of the armchair is 20 inches wide across the seat, 18 inches deep, 40 inches high on the back, 27 inches high on the arms and 18 inches high on the seat. The side chairs are 18 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 40 inches high to the chair back and 18 inches high to the seat. Please look at the photos to see the tiger sawn oak quality of these chairs.
