We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful set of 10 matching tiger sawn oak ball and claw high quality dining chairs that date from the 1890s. These chairs came out of the same home as a Horner style banquet table that is shown with the chairs around it at the bottom of this listing. This listing is for the chairs only. This set has two armchairs and eight side chairs. They all have a clam shell carving on top, cabriole legs, cross spindle cross stretcher, Chippendale ball and claw legs. The upholstery is an antique wine color and is in good condition. The seats are easy to reupholster if you desire something different to match your décor. The chairs are finished in a high gloss finish. They can be rubbed down to remove the high gloss or they could be refinished. If you are interested in this type of service, please contact us for a quote. The chairs are of wonderful quality and better than average. I don’t know if they are Horner, but they were around a table that appears to be Horner. The set is unique with two of the chairs having clam shells on the elbows of the front legs. I don’t know if they forgot to put them on or what, but they match the top crest. The size of the two armchairs are 27 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 20 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 18 inches deep, 42 inches high to the chair crest, 24 inches high on the arms, and 19 inches high to the seat. The size of the eight side chairs are 20 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 40 inches high to the clam shell crest and 19 inches high to the seat. They are an unbelievable set of 10 chairs. You are getting all 10 chairs for one money. Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
