SOLD Antique Roll Top Desk, Oak Raised Panel Roll Top Desk by Standard - 60 inch Wide

This outstanding 60-inch Standard Roll Top desk is fully restored and refinished. Made by the Standard desk company back in the 1890s, this antique roll top desk has been restored and refinished in our professional restoration shop. It is in a medium oak stain with multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer. We had this desk refinished about 12 to 14 years ago and the finish has held up beautifully. There is one spot where a desk lamp sat that made a little mark that you can only see when you stand up on the very top.  This desk has more raised panels on the outside – 37 raised panels on the outside of the desk.  There are raised panels on the inside of the wings, drawers, and door.  The antique roll top desk has four drawers going down the left-hand side with a pull-out slide, a center drawer and the right had side has a pull-out slide with three drawers as the bottom drawer is a simulated two drawer file drawer.  It has all the parts and pieces in place.  It has the brass id tags, raised panel drawers, raised panel door and the key to lock the center roll and the drawers.  The desk is 60 inches wide, 36 inches deep, 31 inches high to the writing surface and 45 inches high overall.  The space for your desk chair is 25 inches wide by 25 inches high.  Just about any desk chair would fit.  The desk is simply stunning with the mail slots on the sides to use when the roll is locked.  The lock is a side lock that goes right into the wings.  The next had a nice original finish when we refinished it.  We also had the roll recanvased at the same time as the refinishing for many years of carefree use. The side and the front of the desk is just as pretty as the side you sit on.  It is a high-end quality of tiger sawn oak.  I believe the people we bought it back from paid $3850 at the time.  It is lower now as the finish isn’t new.  Shipping starts at $425 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
