SOLD Antique Oak Raised Panel S Roll Top Desk

We are pleased to be offering today this tiger sawn oak roll top desk that dates from the 1890s that we took in trade on a much bigger desk. When it came into the shop it had a couple of issues. It had a couple of bad slats that we corrected on the roll. The canvas is fairly tight. It could use some wax to help the roll close smoothly. The dark oak stain finish is pretty decent. It has raised panels all the way around including the drawers. The left-hand side has 4 drawers with a pull-out writing surface. The right-hand side has three drawers with the bottom drawer being 10 inches deep for a file drawer. It has a round corner writing surface. The roll top when open reveals a multi-cubby hole interior that we have glued up. The desk is a good usable desk that is a candidate for refinishing. Please contact us for a quote on refinishing if you are interested in that service. The desk comes with a key. The lock is there, but I do not guarantee it to work as the desk plate is missing. The desk plate can be purchased online if you desire one. The overall size of the desk is 54 inches wide, 31 inches deep, 29.5 inches high to the writing surface and 50 inches high overall. It is a nice desk for the money. Shipping starts at $395 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
