Made of flame mahogany, this is a period empire dining table, with drop-leaves, that dates from the 1840s or ‘50s. When closed, it is 24 inches wide, 41.5 inches deep, and 29.5 inches high. When the two flip leaves, 12 inches wide each, and open them, the table is 47 inches across. It appears to have mostly original finish. On the base are fluted columns that go into a platform with a cut out, on which someone has put modern brass casters. The veneer on both ends on the flat base is chipped away, which is an easy fix. The rest of the table is really nice, with beautiful flame mahogany, at a reasonable price.
