We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful flame mahogany period empire scroll foot drop leaf double drawer sewing stand that dates from the 1860s era. It is a wonderful looking piece. The boys in the shop really liked it, so they completely refinished it. They stripped it, did some gluing, sanded it, touched up a couple of veneer chips, stained it and applied multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer to bring out the gorgeous grain of the flame mahogany. It is a beautiful drop leaf stand that will last for many years with this beautiful finish. It has two hand cut dove tail roll front drawers with the original wood knobs. It has round corner drop leaves that sit upon a fluted pedestal base that goes down into a traditional Empire table base and scroll foot.
