SOLD Antique Parlor Chair, Victorian Gentleman’s Chair
This antique parlor chair features an open arm, design, and dates from the Victorian era of the 1880s. This chair remains in pretty nice condition with the typical repair that you see on these from time to time on the side of the back. You really have to look to see the repair, but somebody clearly leaned on the arm and it was glued back together. You probably would not notice it if we didn’t mention it, but we like to be thorough. The chairs is all tight and sturdy.
With antique-crushed velour pink fabric, cabin front legs, serpentine carved skirt, carved knuckle arms, open medallion style center, and button pleated fabric on the back, this chair would be a great addition to any living room or parlor.
Measuring 24 inches wide, 20 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 24 inches deep from front to back, and 43 inches to the top of the chair. Height to the arm is 24 inches, and height to the seat is 18 inches.
