This antique oak partners desk features a leather top, tiger sawn oak construction, and measures a desirable 60 inches wide and 42 inches deep. Most likely of English origin, and dating from the 1880s, this piece was refinished a long time ago. Note the three picture-frame molded drawers, two file cabinet cupboard doors on the front side of the desk, and on the back side (where the head honcho would probably sit) it has 3 drawers going across the top, with two banks of three drawers on each side. All drawers are picture frame molded, it has all its matching hardware and original key. The locks seem to work, but we never guarantee old locks, as they often need to be cleaned to work like new. The leather is gold embossed and has a few wear marks in the middle, but can usually be colored in with the right leather color. There are no tears or significant damage. Overall condition of the desk is wonderful for its age, and it comes apart into 3 sections - it will go up any sort of staircase. Measuring 60 inches wide x 42 inches deep x 31 inches high. The knee hole measures 26.5 inches wide and 24.5 inches high - so plenty of space for any kind of desk chair you can find.
