We are pleased to be offering this original finish heavy duty, high quality tiger sawn oak hall tree to you today.  This came right out of an estate in Albany, New York, and features its original finish and original turn of the century bevel glass mirror. Dating from the 1890s to 1900s, this piece has four matching, embossed cast iron hooks and excessive carving all along the top. Note all the fleurs-de-lis, and the fantastic mirror that is shaped in 8 different directions; this cost a lot of money back in the day. This hall tree also has carvings down both sides.  The selection of tiger sawn oak is really unbelievable, with carvings right down to the bottom of the mirror. The face board on the bottom has carving and it appears to be all intact, except for one small piece on the left-hand side of the bottom of the seat that you really must look to see. Even the legs are carved right down to the end.  The arms have carved knuckles, just like a big fancy Morris chair, which is unusual for a hall tree.  The overall size is 52 inches wide (wider than the normal 34 inches wide), 17 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat and 88 inches massively tall.  It is stylish and sturdy. It is in the original dark oak stain finish.  When you open the lid, it exposes a large storage compartment underneath.  The finish is worn on the seat where people took off their boots and outdoor gear.  The mirror is 29 inches wide by 46 inches high.  You will search a long time to find one like this. We used to sell these for $3,500 easy; this one is priced as great deal! Shipping starts at $425 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for shipping outside of New England.
