SOLD Antique Oak Victorian Carved Hall Tree or Hall Seat, Large
This Antique Hall Tree or Hall Seat is oversized and beautiful in tiger sawn oak. The Antique Hall Tree dates from the late 1880s to early 1890s, and has detailed carving all the way around the hall seat, original oversize brass filigree hat hooks, and shapely bevel glass mirror. This antique hall seat came right out of an east coast estate, and is all tiger sawn oak in original dark stain finish. This hall seat would be stunning refinished; we can quote refinishing by email if so desired. It has four detailed spindles holding up both arms, and is larger than usual, measuring 43 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 76 inches high. The cast brass filigree hooks are approximately 8 inches across and 8 inches high on each hook. The shapely bevel glass mirror is in outstanding condition, and measures 21 inches wide by 46 inches high. This hall seat has a lift top seat, which reveals the original finish - check the photos to get an idea of what this antique hall seat would look like refinished. The storage cubby offers plenty of space. The hall seat has carvings all the way around. A hall tree of this size is not very common anymore, and are becoming harder to find.
