We are pleased to be offering today out of an east coast estate this outstanding stunning Victorian heavily carved Herter style/Horner style mahogany etagere. It dates from the 1880s era and was sold by the Bancroft and Dyers Furniture Warehouse out of Boston, Massachusetts. It is stamped on the bottom of each drawer to document it. It is a fantastic piece with pierce carving all over, urn shape carved finials and fluted tapered posts. It just goes on and on. It has three doors, two up top that border both sides of the bevel glass mirror and below the mirror section is a large carved door and below that section are three carved drawers with the center drawer having a north wind face. It is high quality. It is finished in the original finish. The locks are all in place, but there is no key. The overall condition is fantastic original. It sits on a claw foot base, three drawers in the base, barley twist beaded support posts on both sides, carved door panels and the top has fluted columns with a pierce carved shield. The finish is a dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish. The overall size is 55 inches wide, 15 inches deep at the deepest point, 13 inches deep on the sides and 75 inches high. It is a breakfront style. The size of the bevel glass mirror is 21 inches wide by 17 inches high. It has raised panels and carved panels galore. It has carved feet, carved urns, carved crest and more! Please check out the photos on this stunning piece. The very top shelf there is a pressure crack that has gone across, but very usable. I don’t see anything else other than beauty in this etagere. Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
