This antique library table is a beautiful example of an early Victorian library desk, with gorgeous carved single drawer and marble top. Dating dates from the 1870s in beautiful condition, look at the carvings! It has a simulated drawer on the front and there is a single hand cut dove tail drawer where you sit. It has four fancy carved legs that are joined together with multi-turn spindle cross stretchers with finials and a large center cap. This antique library table or writing desk has a brown and white marble top with a burl walnut trim face all the way around that is picture frame. Some of the overlay goes right onto the top of the marble edge. It is a great center table that is in amazing condition. The overall size is 49 inches wide, 29 inches deep and 30 inches high. Underneath the drawer is 29 inches wide by 24 inches high for chair space. This could be used as a grand entrance table, a writing table or a display table for a lamp or bronze.
