SOLD Antique Hall Tree, Victorian Mahogany Carved Oversize Hall Bench

This beautiful antique hall tree is constructed of solid mahogany and dates from the Victorian age. Featuring a large bevel glass, this heavily carved hall tree is in monumental size. It has a mahogany carved panel below the wonderful bevel glass mirror, big carved arms, a carved notch base in the seat and it sits on big bun feet. This antique hall tree has groove columns going up both sides, oversize carved center crest and beautiful foliage carving that matches the bottom carving on the top header. We have put two reproduction cast brass hall tree hooks as the other two were damaged. The mirror only has two hooks. The mirror itself is 45 inches wide by 40 inches tall, and has an extra wide bevel with 1.5 inches exposed! The overall size of this antique hall tree is 61 inches wide, 20 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 102 inches high to the top of the carved crest. I don’t know if this is Horner, but it is of that same quality. The seat lifts to reveal ample storage space for your gear. The overall condition is nice dating from the 1880s to 1890s in nice original finish. There is a small piece of carving missing on the panel below the mirror and other than the normal nicks and dings, it is in good untouched condition. It comes part in two pieces (mirror section and base section) for ease of transport. It is in a dark reddish brown stain finish. There is some wear on the seat from normal use.
