We are pleased to be offering this wonderful turn of the century tiger sawn oak hall tree to you today. Dating dates from the 1890s, this piece came right out of a home here on the east coast, and maintains its original finish. The top clear layer is wearing off, as shown around the mirror, and has egg and dart molding with gingerbread molding on top. It has fluted tapered columns for finials on the top, and comes down into an oval bevel mirror with applied carvings. It is elevated by dainty spindles and applied carving below. It has the umbrella hook on top, but no drip pan. The varnish is worn off in places. This is beautiful now, and would be gorgeous refinished. The mirror has a couple of spots of silver loss which adds charm and character. The overall size is 29 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 23 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 16 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, 29 inches high the arms and 83 inches high overall. The original bevel glass mirror is 24 inches high and 16 inches wide. It is a great original hall tree with original hooks and carvings.
