SOLD Antique French Victorian Rosewood Satinwood Writing Desk
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful French Victorian writing desk that dates from the 1880s to 1890s. It came out of a local estate. It is a beautiful piece with a selection of woods and veneers. The table is in excellent condition with a multi-bevel edge top, rosewood, satinwood, cross grain mahogany and has a stunning look. It has four fluted legs that are joined with a dainty cross stretcher. The cross stretcher cracked at one time and has been repaired. It is tight and sturdy. It has applied filigree and has a drawer that does not have a key. I am sure you can find a key on the internet, but you are getting the desk without a key. The finish appears to have been over shellacked or revived in the last 30 years or so. The overall size is 50 inches wide, 29 inches deep and 30 inches high. It is a gorgeous desk or writing table that would look lovely in a hallway. Shipping starts at $295 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.
