SOLD Antique Flame Mahogany Custom Sheraton Sideboard

This is probably the nicest and best Sheraton flame mahogany sideboard we’ve had in a long time. It takes two really big guys to lift this baby up and carry it around. My guys are used to carrying heavy furniture, like pool tables and antique bars, and they grunted and groaned when they picked up this sideboard. It’s extra deep, extra long, and extra nice all the way around. Look at the flame mahogany on the backsplash, on the doors, and the beautiful curved drawers, all hand-cut dovetail, in the center.  This is from the Davenport Furniture Company well known for quality furniture and dates from the 1890’s-1900’s. Most likely bench made. It comes with two keys, which fit the locks, but don’t make them work so well. We never guarantee these old locks, and they should be oiled, cleaned, and adjusted. Everything on this piece is of the highest quality: the keys, the brass on the drawers, just everything is top notch. There are two large picture frame doors that open to reveal a fixed shelf halfway, and three hand-cut dovetail drawers in the center. There are four fluted solid mahogany Sheraton style legs, a cookie cutter top, and the beautiful backsplash. It is 73 inches long, 27 inches deep, which is about four inches deeper than normally, and 38 inches high on the case. It is another 4 inches high to the backsplash, for a total of 42 inches high. You’d have to go a long way to find one this super nice. It’s been all re-sprayed to remove nicks and dings, and like all the antiques you buy from us, we’ve gone through the whole piece to make sure it’s all ready to provide you with years of carefree use.
