If you are looking for a piece of resistance, then look no farther because this solid tiger sawn oak professionally restored and refinished heavily carved sideboard is the answer.  Dating from the 1890s, it is certainly a sign of high quality by  maker like Paine.  Please look at the numerous pictures.  Where do we start to try express the beauty of this piece in words?  The piece is all solid tiger sawn oak, has heavy cast brass hardware with lion faces, a couple of the key holes do not match, there is one key for the door lock, raised panel drawer, ribbed drawers, carved panels, carved serpent on the extra tall drawer, big north wind faces on the two other doors that are similar to the carvings on the top, a multi-spindle multi-carved stepped in gallery top is finished with an art nouveau gallery support, carved columns are finished off with claw feet and the side even has picture frame molded panels.  The sideboard has been completely stripped, glued, sanded, stained with a dark oak finish stain and multiple coats of hand rubber lacquer have been applied.  It is all set to go into the home and it doesn’t get any nicer than this folks.  The overall size is 66 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 81 inches tall.  It is heavy, heavy , heavy, quality, quality, quality, stylish, stylish and stylish.  The mirror shows the typical flaws here and there, but overall condition is good.  We have placed a backer mirror behind of the  plate glass.  It is a 1.5 inch bevel edge rectangular mirror.  It will cost $485 if you are within our normal shipping area.  Make sure you do check with us to confirm that you are within our normal area.  We also ship to all points of Canada, but please contact us to obtain a quote for your specific locale.
