This antique sewing table features a wonderful drop leaf, with triple drawers, and acanthus carved claw foot platform base in the Federal style. This antique worktable that dates from the 1880s, and originally came into our shop with the top all scratched up. We sanded it down, color matched it and re-sprayed the top. The drop leaves have a slight cup to them, which is normal. The triple hand cut dovetail drawers rest upon an acanthus carved center post that comes down into a traditional platform base that has four toenail claw feet. There is a small chip of wood missing on the top of the left drop leaf that can be seen in the pictures. The table when closed is 19 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 31 inches tall. When the 13-inch leaves are flipped up, it becomes 42 inches wide. It is a good worktable with a stain that is brown with a slight red tint.
