SOLD Antique Oak Chairs, Antique Pair of Oak Figure Carved Chairs
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful match pair of chairs with two different carvings. One has a knight with a sword and a shield. The other has a soldier leaning against a desk. They all appear to be out of oak. Look at the top crest rail as it is amazing with all the carving. I would imagine these are European, but I am not sure. They have thick barley twist posts on the back and on the cross front spindles. They have chip carving all around. They have the original felt/velour seats that have worn over the years. They are all good, but I am sure some people would want them reupholstered which is easy to do as the seats pop right out. The chairs themselves are super and would make great desk chairs. We bought them out of the same home as a barley twist desk. The size of the chairs are 20 inches wide, 17 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 44 inches high. The figures in the center panel are approximately 9 inches tall and the panels are 8 inches by 10 inches. You are getting the pair for one money. Shipping starts at $225 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
