We are pleased to be offering today this dragon face carved mahogany morris chair that is must better than average in quality and style. Look at the mean looking lions that are on the fronts of both arms. The arm supports are all chiseled out. The cushions are in nice shape as they have been reupholstered along the line. The back has a flame mahogany cross brace and carved posts coming down which are unusual. It has an original brass ball adjustable rod. The cool thing about morris chairs is that you can adjust the back into four or five positions similar to a recliner. The condition of the chair is all original. It has a wonderful detail hairy cabriole claw foot. The lions are in good shape with minor roughage from rubbing. There is a small piece of carving on the lion on the right, which is one of his teeth, and we will detail it out prior to shipping. The finish is about 80%. If you would like it perfect, please contact us and we will provide you a quote for refinishing. Look it all over as the carved wing griffins come up both sides. The overall size is 30 inches across, 33 inches deep, 49 inches high to the back that is adjustable, 27 inches high to the arm and 20 inches high to the seat. These are hard to find in this quality.
