This wonderful marble top dresser features its original finish, dark walnut, white and gray grained ogee bevel edge round corner marble, and the original back mirror and glass. Everything on this antique dresser is original finish.  A great looking item from the civil war era of the 1860's-1870's, the mirror has pierce carved inserts on top, a detail crest on the very top, applied carving on the sides, and pierce carving on the bottom. Take note of the little ditty boxes -- the base has four racetrack hand cut dovetail drawers in the base with the original deep-dish fruit and leaf hand carved drawer pulls.  The racetrack molding is called that because of the oval shape like a racetrack.  It has the original keyhole escutcheons.  This antique dresser has the original swivel mirror on top that is controlled with the two threaded rods.  It has the candle shelves intact.  It came right out of a Massachusetts estate.  It is 43 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 33 inches high to the marble top and the overall height to the top of the mirror crest is 83 inches.  The size of the original wavy mirror looking glass is 17 inches wide by 29 inches high.  You can see where some of the silver has been scrapped away on the top which adds charm and character to the piece.  Shipping starts at $345 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
