SOLD Antique Dining Room Chairs, Set of 10 Victorian Chippendale Dining Chairs
This set of TEN antique dining room chairs is WONDERFUL. Featuring solid mahogany construction, these are Philadelphia style Chippendale antique chairs, with carved backs, ball & claw feet, clamshell carving, and a beautiful original dark mahogany stained finish. This set of antique dining chairs consists of one armchair and 9 side chairs and is in great condition with only the minor nicks and dings that come with age. A really really nice original set, featuring the original rush seats that also seem to be in fantastic condition. I’m sure there’s a strand or two that’s loose - that’s always the way - but I don’t see anything myself. Carved cabriole ball & claw legs, Philadelphia Chippendale cut out backs, flared back legs, and is just a really great quality set of chairs.
The overall size of the armchairs is approximately 23 inches wide on the seat, 20 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat, 28 inches wide across the arms, 28.5 inches high to the arm, and 42 inches high to the carved backsplash. The side chairs are 19 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep, 19 inches high to the seat and 40 inches high to the crest rail.
