This hard-to-find set of Antique Mahogany Dining Room Chairs are beautiful. These custom antique dining chairs were purchased out of a grand estate here on the east coast. Dating from the 1880s, this large set of Antique Mahogany Dining Chairs is a set of 18. Yes, I said a set of 18 Victorian Mahogany Dining Chairs! We sell a lot of sets of Antique Dining Chairs, and a set of 18 dining chairs is not common. These matching shield back dining room chairs consist of four solid mahogany armchairs and 14 matching solid Mahogany side chairs. Do not confuse this set of chairs with what you see online from the 1920s-1940s.  These are centennial age and are all solid mahogany.  I wouldn’t say they are bench made, but they certainly weren’t mass produced. Everything is solid and tight. One of the chairs has been unupholstered so you can see the construction that dates to the 1880s.  To find a set of 18 antique dining room chairs is incredibly rare, but to find a set of 18 that are centennial age….it is almost impossible. The condition of the chairs are really nice, and the entire set will want to be reupholstered.  The frames are all tight and sturdy. There are no breaks. Other than the upholstery and needing a good rub down, these are in great condition. The armchairs are 24 inches across, 21 inches between the arms, 19 inches deep, 18-19 inches depending on the padding, 38.5 inches high to the back and 26 inches high to the arms. The side chairs measure 21 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 39 inches high to the chair back and 19 inches high to the seat.  These are not normal chairs.  The center splat is a sheath of wheat, the drape pattern is all solid mahogany with no lamination or plywood.  These antique dining chairs are all solid mahogany and hand cut.  In case you can’t tell, I am very impressed with this set of dining chairs.  You are getting all 18 chairs for one money.  Shipping starts at $485 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.
