We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful carved solid oak French
Briton style bed that dates from the 1890s to 1900s. It is a wonderful bed
with a scene on the front of the footboard with a man and a woman and it
appears that they are digging for clams with seagulls and a church steeple
in the background. It is pretty unique. There are two cracks in the carved
panel that we can tighten up before shipping. The headboard has a child's
or lady's headed crest on the very top. There are beautiful carved panel
with floral designs. It is in a dark oak stain finish. The molding on the
top of the headboard got damaged, but we will repair prior to shipping. It
is a wonderful bed that we have sold before for up to $3000.00 depending on
the scene depicted. The outside dimensions are 57 inches wide on the
footboard, 59 inches wide on the headboard, 60 inches high on the headboard
and 32 inches high on the footboard. The inside dimensions for mattress
purposes is 52.5 by 75 inches long. It is a gorgeous bed with a lovely
scene on the footboard. It is a beautiful investment minded antique. The
