We are pleased to be offering today this gorgeous French tiger sawn oak Victorian carved bed in refinished condition that dates from the 1890s. We have taken the bed and lengthened the rails to make this bed a modern day full size box spring and mattress bed. It is simply beautiful . it has been all stripped, sanded and stained a dark rich looking oak finish that brings out the grains of the tiger sawn and the fancy leaf carving on the bed. The headboard has a big oval with a wreath bow tie carvings in the center with a center wreath, tiger sawn oak panels on each side and fluted columns coming down the ends. The footboard is the same with a lot of leaf carving and a wreath in the center. It also has a tri-panel base with fluted legs and a curved molded top. The overall size on the outside is 57 inches wide, 35 inches high on the footboard and 61 inches high on the headboard. The inside dimensions are 54.5 inches wide by 77 inches long, which will easily accommodate a modern day full size box spring and mattress.
