An exceptional antique 60-inch quarter sawn oak roll top desk dating from the 1890s, this handsome Victorian office desk features beautiful tiger sawn oak grain throughout along with a classic “S” curve tambour roll that opens smoothly to reveal an impressive multi-drawer and cubbyhole interior.

Constructed from solid quarter sawn oak with approximately 26 oak panels used throughout the desk, this piece has a warm medium oak finish that was refinished by the previous owner and has held up beautifully over time.

The thoughtfully designed interior includes numerous letter cubbies, small drawers, and organizing compartments, making it both highly functional and visually impressive. The left pedestal features four drawers along with a pull-out writing slide, while the right pedestal includes two standard drawers over two deep file-sized drawers.

Condition:

Overall, this desk is in very nice antique condition. Previously refinished and showing only normal age-appropriate wear, including minor nicks, dings, and surface wear consistent with use and age. One panel was professionally reglued during refinishing, and the center interior drawer was altered by a previous owner. The tambour operates nicely, and the desk is solid, sturdy, and ready to go directly into your home or office.
