This beautiful set of six carved mahogany dining room chairs date from the 1890s. An exemplary set of Victorian craftsmanship, each of these matching side chairs features a delicate, pierce-carved crest with winged cherubs flanking a shield, and ornate scrolled vinery. The detail brings out the stunning late 19th-century design.
The chairs retain pastel blue upholstered slip seats, which contrast nicely with the rich Mahogany. Each chair measures 20” wide x 20” deep, with an overall height of 45”.
The condition of this set of chairs is good. They were professionally refinished within the last ten years in a warm, reddish-brown Mahogany stain. The very minor wear is consistent with age, but the chairs are sturdy, functional, and ready for use in your home.
