We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful mahogany gothic style or empire style grandfather clock with 5 tubular chimes. It dates from the 1920s to 1930s. the clock was sold by the Colonial Manufacturing Company out of Zeeland, Michigan. It looks just like a Herschedes. It has no door tag on it like it normal does. The works are stamped Colonial Mfg. Co. The clock came to us from an estate out of Connecticut. It is in the original dark mahogany empire color with reverse routed carved pillar coming down both sides, gothic dome shape top, a couple of nicks on the crown, but it is in pretty good condition. The weights, 5 tubes and brass pendulum are all original. The clock itself has a sweep second hard, original silver and brass decorated carved face and moon dial to give you the different times of the month. It has a silent chime control, but it does ring on the quarter, half, three quarter and hour. The chime on this clock I believe is the Westminister chime. The overall size is approximately 24 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 79 inches tall. It is a great little clock and it has been running well since I started it 20 minutes ago. The clock does need to be cleaned and adjusted to ensure proper working order. When the clock is delivered you will likely need a professional to ensure the settings are correct. The clock even comes with the key. It will cost $395 to have this clock shipped driveway delivery within our normal shipping area. Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are within our normal area.
