SOLD Victorian Walnut Step Back Two Door Bookcase – Civil War
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful Victorian civil war era step back burl walnut bookcase that dates from the 1870’s era. It is a beautiful bookcase that came into the shop. We brought it in to glue it up, make necessary repairs, hand sanded, hand stained leaving the patina and applied multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer. It is a beautiful bookcase in a medium amber walnut stain color. It is a step back with two hand cut dove tail drawers that are picture frame molded burl walnut fronts. The two door section has three adjustable shelves. It has a molded top, dome top doors, hand cut step out base, carved columns coming down both sides and it is simply stunning. The overall size is 49 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 13 inches high on the base, 13 inches deep on the top, 46 inches high on the top and the overall height is 58 inches.
