We are pleased to be offering today this very nice condition civil war era solid black walnut with burl walnut accent trim marble top hall tree made by the M. W. Cain Company out of Boston Massachusetts back in the 1870s to 1880s. This is a beautiful stunning hall tree with a white and gray grained ogee bevel edge marble. It has hand carved pull out drawer, fluted tapered columns supporting the marble and the original cast iron embossed pans with the name of the maker on them. It even has the original fancy burl walnut carved crest on the top. Everything is here and nice. Someone had re-varnished years ago. The burl walnut raised panel trim pieces stand out nicely. The whole item is stunning to look at, right down to the original mirror that shows some silver loss for additional charm and character. The 8 original turned walnut spindle knobs are all in place to hang your hats and jackets on. It has a great carved knuckle style burl walnut accented crest on top. The overall size is 35 inches wide, 14 inches deep, 32 inches high to the top of the marble and 91 inches high. It is in great condition. Shipping starts at $345.00 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
