We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful little Victorian white and gray grained marble top ogee bevel edge solid black walnut base half commode that dates from the 1870s to 1880s in original as found condition. Overall condition of this solid black walnut half commode is good. On the front underneath the door is a small piece of molding that has been chipped off, which you have to really look to notice. On the back someone put a metal brace, but we will glue up to repair it. The marble itself has a few surface scratches that we will attempt to sand out prior to shipping if you remind us at the time of the sale. It has race track molding, hand cut dove tail drawer with a hand carved wooden acorn pull, tombstone door with a storage cavity behind and molding underneath the drawer. It has the original castors. The overall size is 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 31 inches high. It is a great piece. It has scratches and normal stains on the marble. It is a great Victorian era commode.
