SOLD Victorian Oak Curved Glass Side by Side Secretary Desk
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful original old finish bevel glass with curved glass door secretary bookcase/china closet desk that dates from the 1890s. It is in the original finish and came right out of a home here in Maine. This desk is all tiger sawn oak and veneer. It would look beautiful refinished, but a lot of people like the original old finish. It has the original hardware on the drawers and on the doors. The writing lid has the key hole escutcheon missing, but we will try to put one on before shipping. The nice thing about this is that it has four adjustable shelves in behind the original curved glass door. The top section has a shapely top with a carved mirror. The flip down lid opens to expose a cubby hole interior. There are also three drawers for storage sitting on a spade foot with the original castors intact. It is in the dark oak finish that has worn over the years. It has a few nicks and dings from years of use. The overall size is 41 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 69 inches high to the backsplash. Everything is original on this desk. Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
