We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful marble top white and gray grained ogee bevel edge wash stand/commode dating from the 1880s in unbelievable original condition. It even comes with the key that locks the top drawer. I can not believe it hasn’t been lost over the years. When you open the drawer it has the original old red label from the Paine Furniture Company back in Boston from the 1880s. I very rarely even see this paper label anymore and it adds a lot of charm to the piece. The commode is all solid black walnut. It has race track molding on the doors, drawers and case itself. It has panel sides. It is from the 1870s to 1880s era and has minor nicks and dings. The overall size is 32 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 35.5 inches high to the backsplash and 30 inches high to the marble surface. If this Victorian piece could talk, I bet it would have amazing stories. Shipping starts at $265 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England. Outside New England it will change, so please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for outside of New England for shipping.
