We are pleased to be offering today this BEAUTIFUL RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CARVED & INLAID WALNUT CREDENZA dating from the 1880's era. An outstanding cabinet of diminutive proportions with a wolf's head carving within the crest above the rectangular case with incurved sides. The frieze fitted with a long drawer with bird's eye maple veneered panel above a center door which is embellished with a superbly executed marquetry panel. The panel depicts a flower filled classical urn set within and framed by an intricate oval foliate wreath with a border of floral garlands inlaid on a Circassion walnut veneer panel. The incurved sides each with burled walnut panels decorated with incised gold gilt carvings. The credenza has a conforming molded base with shaped apron applied with a central foliate carved cartouche raised on suppressed ball feet. SIZE: 48" wide by 18" deep and height at 57". CONDITION: Very good original with dry surface with minor nicks and dings. Has one key included. Backboard and crest have some repairs and replacements parts (see photos).
