We are pleased to be offering today this very rare find in the antique world: a solid black walnut Victorian age incise carved with burl highlight panels and even an incise carved four legged base swivel tilt office chair that dates from the 1870s to 1880s in beautiful condition.  It has a lace cane seat that is in good usable condition.  The chair appears to have been refinished a long time ago in a medium walnut stain finish that draws out the incise carvings in the chair.  Even the base has incise carving!  The back has two burl panels that bring out the gorgeous black walnut grains.  It has the original cast iron mechanism that allows the chair to adjust the height, tilt back and swivel.  Someone has replaced the castors for easy rolling.  Overall the chair is all original except for the castors.  The chair is 18 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 38 inches high to the back and 17 inches high to the seat.  It is a great looking Victorian chair that is difficult to find.  The overall condition is nice, but it has two small cracks: one across the back that is part of the incise carving and one in the back of the seat.  We will take care of the cracks so you will not notice prior to shipping.   Shipping starts at $125 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.  Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to confirm what it would cost you if outside of New England for shipping.
