SOLD Set of 6 Windsor Type Arm Chairs by Paine-RARE!!
We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful unusual rare matching set of 6 Windsor style arm chairs that are made by the Paine Furniture Company with the label underneath! They probably date from the 1940's, but possibly the 1930's. If you want a set of chairs that no one else has, than these are it. I have been in the business for over 40 years and I have never seen a set of chairs like these. They are very unusual. They have multi-turn spindles to support the back and arms. They have almost what appears to be a stick and ball crest rail on top, but it is really the spindles going through the cross rod. The chairs have a solid scooped out seat, multi-turn flared legs and are nice looking chairs that will likely need to be tightened. The overall size is 18 inches wide, 15 inches deep, 36 inches high to the back, 27 inches high to the arm and 17 inches high to the seat.
