We are pleased to be offering today this very unusual and rare find as discovered in this set of 6 tiger sawn oak heavily carved high quality Chippendale ball and claw dining room chairs dating from the 1880s era. It is a fantastic set. We are blown away with the weight and quality of each chair. Look at the heavy skirt that goes around the freshly upholstered red seats with the heavy braided molded across the front, delicate and excessively carved elbows on the ball and claw legs and a hand carved clam shell of solid oak right in the center of the chair back. The chairs impressed the crew so much that they couldn’t wait to strip, re-glue, sand, stain and apply multiple coats of satin sheen lacquer to get this beautiful and rare set of chairs ready to go into your home. The set consists of six oversize side chairs. The size of the chairs are 22 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 40 inches high to the carved crest and 18 inches high to the seat. The chairs have been all professionally refinished. If you do not care for the red upholstery, the seat coverings are easy to change. The seats can come out, be wrapped with new fabric, stapled and then put back on. You are getting all six chairs for one money.
