Offered today is a beautiful set of 12 mahogany Chippendale-style dining chairs dating from the centennial revival period, likely made in the 1870s–1880s. Crafted in the “city style” of Chippendale, these elegant and finely carved chairs bring both classic form and historical depth to any formal dining room.

Details & Features:
• Set of 12 total chairs: 10 side chairs and 2 larger armchairs
• Solid mahogany construction throughout, including carved back splats
• Centennial era city-style Chippendale design
• Original fiber seats in great condition (pop-out style for easy DIY reupholstering)
• Gently used with minor nicks, dings, and some finish loss from years around the table
• Structurally solid and well cared for—these were loved and preserved!

This may be an assembled set from the same Victorian-era factory, possibly across multiple production runs. The overall design, proportions, and craftsmanship are extremely consistent, but a very close inspection reveals subtle variations, likely from different carvers or batches. Honestly, we didn’t even notice the differences until much later. For fun, we suggest you challenge your dinner guests to spot them!

• Minor finish loss on arms and some edges from 125+ years of use
