We are pleased to be offering today a very hard to find item, as displayed in this set of 10 solid oak dining room chairs that date from the 1900s to 1910s.  These are referred to as ice cream chairs in the antique world as they usually came out of a restaurant or an ice cream parlor.  This set of 10 are an exact solid match, which is a great find as there was often a variation in the height of the chair backs. These are all identical tiger sawn oak backs, circular seats, one piece flared back leg,  flared front leg and multi-turn double spindles. One chair out of the 10 has a spindle missing, one chair out of the 10 has a split seat, 1 chair has a crack in the back and 2 chairs had water damage that affected the finish on the seats.  These are the type of chairs that we almost restore and refinish as they are stunning with the grains of the tiger sawn woods used.  The chairs are 17 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 37 inches high.  They are 18 inches high to the seat.  If the buyer so desires, we can quote you a price to refinish the whole set which consists of stripping, repairing, replacing missing parts, hand sanding, staining, coloring and spraying clear coats for many decades of carefree use.  You are getting all 10 for one money.  I have not had this chair available to me in the last two years and we kept finding two of these in almost every room in the house.  Shipping starts at $299 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Please contact us to discuss shipping as the price varies based on location and type of service desired as white glove delivery is available for most areas.  Please keep in mind that we are pulling a wide array of lovely items out of this Victorian estate, so don't forget to bookmark our site.
