We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful pair of mahogany beds in twin size made by the Kindle Furniture Company. It must be the Newport Style, because they are stamped on the footboards “Newport.” They are a solid set of twins with thick rails. The inside dimensions for mattress purposes are 38.5 inches wide by 76 inches long, so it takes a modern day twin size mattress. The outside dimensions are 40 inches wide on the headboard, 48 inches high on the headboard posts, 41 inches high to the headboard shield, 42 inches high on the footboard post and 28 inches high on the footboard cross member. The beds come with bed slats so that the mattress and box spring can sit right on top. They are finished in a dark reddish brown stain finish. They date from the 1920s in original condition.
