We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful solid oak turn of the century (1890s-1900s) lift seat hall or hallway bench. It has four carved panels going across the back with birds, flowers, leaves and the birds appear to be swans on a fountain that bursts up to a sunflower design. The base has two big carved molded panels with what appears to be hand carving. It has a huge lift top seat that lifts up to provide a storage space of 16 inches deep, 18 inches wide and approximately 50 inches long. There is tons of rooms for the kids boots, shoes, hats, mittens, jackets, etc. The overall size of the bench itself is 55 inches wide, approximately 20 inches deep, 47 inches high to the top of the bench, 29 inches high on the arms and 19 inches high on the seat. It has a large shoe footed base with solid oak base. It is a stout and sturdy hall seat that makes a statement with the gorgeous carved panels. Shipping starts at $345 if you are in our normal area.
