We are pleased to be offering today this antique tiger sawn oak claw foot oval bevel glass carved lift seat hall tree that dates from the early 1900s.  The overall condition is good with a couple of minor flaws.  You can see where someone did an amateur repair on the seat where a metal brace was installed (which can be corrected easily) and there is also some wood filler on the front of the leg and the side of the arm.  The hall tree retains the original carving, drip pan frame, drip umbrella rack, but it is missing the metal drip pan.  The lift seat raises to allow for plenty of storage for hats and mittens.  The hall tree has a flared front leg with a fancy claw foot, flarings on the side with applied carved moldings and an oval bevel glass mirror that shows signs of wear from age.  The overall size is 28 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 77 inches high.  It is in the original dark oak stain finish.  It comes apart in the back in two pieces with metal braces.  We will ship this to you in two pieces to save you shipping costs and it can easily be put back together with just a few screws.  Shipping starts at $245.00 if you are in our normal area and will increase in costs if not. This estimate is for the East coast. You are welcome to use your own shipper if desired.  Please contact us prior to purchase with a zip code to confirm that you are in our normal area.
