We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful mahogany stained fancy carved ladies desk chair dating from the 1890s in original condition. Look at the back. It is totally awesome. It has a big north wind with a mane coming down incorporated into the shapely back with a couple of carved center splats, a scooped out saddle seats, cabriole style front legs, flared back legs, multi-turn spindle cross stretchers and a multi-turn front stretcher finishes off one great chair. It is finished in a dark reddish brown mahogany stain finish with wear marks due to the age. Someone has glued it up where there was a small crack at one time and we will detail it out prior to shipping. It is structurally sound. The seat has a hairline crack in it that doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, but we wanted to mention it. The overall size is 15.5 inches wide, 16 inches deep, 42 inches high to the crest and 17.5 inches high. It is a great chair with a really nice look. Shipping starts at $65 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
