We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful mahogany carved ball and claw one drawer nightstand in the Chippendale style dating from the 1940s. It is a great looking piece that has had the top refinished to remove the nicks and dings and bring out the gorgeous grains of the woods used. The remainder of the nightstand is in original condition in the reddish brown mahogany stain finish. It has a 45 degree angle molded top, carved columns coming down both sides with applied carvings, dove tail picture frame molded drawer that retains the heavy brass cast original hardware, panel sides, scalloped legs all the way around and terminates in ball and claw dainty feet. The overall size is 16 inches by 14.5 inches by 26.5 inches. The space underneath the drawer is 9 inches high by 12 inches wide approximately.
