We are pleased to be offering this beautiful carved oversized monumental carved mahogany china closet that dates from the 1890's in beautiful original condition. It came out of a western Maine estate. It hasn’t even been polished yet. One of the workers put their elbow throw the front door so we had to replace the glass. The glass on the front door is new, but the curved glass on the sides are original. There are great as they offer plenty of space with the interior showing five shelves. The overall size is 54 by 15 by 74 inches high. The five shelves are 12 inches deep. The applied carving is all intact, the applied molding on the dentil molding on the demi lune shape top is all intact and even the toe nails of all four feet are all there. When this cabinet is polished with Howard’s it will brings out the grains of the dark reddish brown mahogany stain. These large china closets are not easily found any more.
