We are pleased to be offering today this beautiful solid walnut barley twist oversize throne chair or arm chair that dates from the 1880s. It has a fantastic look. The choice of fabric is gorgeous against the patina of the walnut frame. The upholstery is in good condition and so is the gimp around it. Therefore it must have been redone at some point. The chair is solid walnut with carved arms that go down into a barley twist post, barley twist leg, cross stretcher and side stretcher. Everything is barley twist and walnut. The overall size is 28 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 24 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 20 inches deep, 48 inches high to the chair back, 29 inches high to the arm and 20 inches high to the seat.
