We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful little mahogany inlaid with brass ormolu French marble top nightstand that dates from the 1890s. It come right out of a local estate, but it came from France or Belgium originally. It has a rose quartz marble top, a molded hand cut dove tail drawers with inlaid all through it, a raised panel molded brass ormolu door that opens to reveal a marble liner inside and a bottom shelf. The whole cabinet sits upon fluted tapered legs and ends in a turn foot. The overall size is 16 inches wide, 15 inches deep and 36 inches high. The bottom shelf is approximately 5 inches from the floor. The size of the door is approximately 11 inches wide by 9 inches high. The overall condition is nice. It has a veneer or pressure crack on the bottom shelf, which is common from the secondary wood shrinking. It can be touched up if the buyer desires. It is all original and has all the brass ormolu trim. It has the bow tie brass ormolu trim on the corners. Shipping starts at $135 for a driveway delivery in our normal area which is New England.
