SOLD Early Cast Iron Book Press with Dolphin Heads - Rare
We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful cast iron Victorian age book press that has a #4 embossed right on the side. The book press does work. It goes up and down easily. It has what appears to be dolphins on each side with an embossed cast figure. It has a rope braised arch top that the turn screw goes down on. I don’t know much about these kind of things and I hope the pictures tell you what you need to know. I saw two that sold recently for a lot more than I am asking for this one. The overall size is 21.5 inches wide, 14 inches deep and approximately 14 inches high. I hope the pictures do it justice as it is pretty cool. It turns easily and is quite unique. Shipping starts at $55 for a driveway delivery in the continental USA due to weight.
